Communication Templates

Communication Templates store standard blocks of text used when sending letters, emails and notices to contacts. Templates save time by providing pre-written content for common communications — payment reminder letters, AGM notices, welcome emails and more — which can then be personalised for each recipient via mail merge.

Each template has a title, a type (indicating the kind of communication it’s used for), and a content body. Templates can be organised hierarchically using the parent relationship to group variants of the same communication.

Title text The name of this communication template.
Content richText The body content of this template — used as the default text when sending communications.
Type picklist The type of communication this template is used for (e.g. email, letter, notice).
Parent picklist The parent template this is a variant of, if applicable.
